TEDx conscious capitalism with Thomas Eckschmidt

After a successful talk in 2013 at the "Beef Summit" sharing the fundamentals of conscious capitalism, Thomas Eckschmidt was invited to speak at the TEDx Lacador in the south of Brazil.

One of the most successful TEDx in Brazil, the 2 days of Talks with the overarching there "We are Humanity" brought in the idea of conscious capitalism to an audience of over 500 people at the PUC RS Theatre.

The talk has an historical moment because it starts with an impactful pharese: "I am a capitalist and I believe in profit" - the audience that was chit chatting stopped immediately and was grounded by the opening statement.

Here was for the first time a re-interpretation of profit as something that can go beyong the financial dimension.

Profit is a surplus, and it can be economical, social, knowledge, technological, environmental, emotional and many other dinensions of value creation. In 2014, Thomas Eckschmidt articulated this proposition as a new way of doing business.
